Sega Launches a Free Collection of Retro Games on iOS and Android

Sega’s most classic and well known ip’s are coming to iOS and Android in the next 24 hours for free! The first games rolling out are Sonic The Hedgehog, Phantasy Star 2, Comix Zone, Kid Chameleon, and Altered Beast. They will have leaderboards and controller support. The Sega Forever website also says that “the collection is a free and growing classic games collection of nearly every SEGA game ever released.” Meaning lots of more titles will be added. Here’s the epic nostalgia packed trailer!

Did you know that Sega has produced consoles and videogames since 1983? The last console they made was the Dreamcast in 1999, which competed with the Playstation 2. Unfortunately it was a commercial failure and Sega has only been producing video games since. Forget other apps this wave of games will certainly have our eyes glued to our screens for hours.
